Introductory AVs
National Maritime Museum, London, UK
Project Overview
PROJECT OVERVIEW
We created two new AVs for the introductory foyer, both utilising a combination of content from the Museum's archives and newly shot textural elements, to introduce visitors to the nautical themes covered across the permanent galleries.
The 'Enrichment' wide-scale AV uses four landscape HD monitors to create an 8K display. Imagery and footage from a range of time periods are blended together to create thematic scenes. For additional depth, texture and movement, we filmed a variety of projection experiments. For example, the filming of projected source images and footage through still and turbulent water onto a variety of textured surfaces, added a unique and authentic visual effect to the archive assets, and achieving a strengthened thematic link to maritime trade.
